lmao i just told one of my best friends off cos she hadnt seen this movie, she has seen kubricks other classic full metal jacket, but i told her she needs to rewatch that as well cos she only remembers the first half

In APOCALYPSE NOW, apart from the helicopters, wagner, napalm and Martin Sheen coming out of the water I like the shots of the boat cutting through the water amidst the wreckage. In particular there's a shot of Lance at the bow "swimming" as the boat moves silent-like through the water.

the Brandon/Kurtz-monologue "The Horror, the horror...."
The movie starts with a song by the Doors "The End" —

Yes . The scene where they are off the boat collecting mangoes and a Tiger shows up to chase them back to the boat and the character who's a "chef" back in the "world" keeps repeating "never get off the boat".

It is a little overindulgent as movies go. I am guessing the best scene would be the assassination scene. It is the best editing in the movie. Harsh imagery. Pumping sound. Great camera work and good symbolism.
