Normally there are short out points to clear the password on the main board. I don't know where they are on your notebook, so you will have to read the manual or ask Dell. You take a metal surface, like a screw driver, and short out two pins.

If it is a hard drive password, just boot from a different disc and format the drive

Most probably u can't install. But still there is a way...if there is a password in the BIOS (which don't let u too boot ur XP CD) then you need to remove & again place the CMOS battery. But it should be done by professional.

Best of Luck.

I'm not sure I understood this, but when you put in your XP Installer CD and boot the computer, it boot from the CD straight to the Installer menu.

properly, in case you have sufficient space on your a million no longer uncomplicated tension, basically get into the setup menu till now the OS starts and create a 2nd partition and positioned the 2nd OS on that. even if I discourage this because of the fact considering there is basically one no longer uncomplicated tension and can soak up a number of room. you have gotten constrained area to place the rest on your pc Vista takes up a number of memory and area so be careful once you get admission to the the two one among them, because of the fact it is going to decelerate the processor's time to getting each little thing mutually and working the OS.

Is it a hard drive password? If so, you might be out of luck...it's stored in a ROM chip on the motherboard.
