Married, I doubt, but Shaffer does have a son named Chimere.

The multi-platinum recording artist Ne-Yo (Shaffer Chimere Smith) sat down for the October issue of Essence Magazine last week and announced the shocking news stating, "Yes, I am gay, and I have always been."
He also said, "You now this world we live in is full of judgment, resulting in one of the reasons why it took me so long to come out of the closet."

No Neyo is not gay and the pictures where he was getting served up are forreal. Neyo is actually married to his bf and have a baby. And No, he's not on the DL. If you don't belive me go to http://www.sandrarose.com/news.htm or allhiphop.com under rumors http://www.allhiphop.com/rumors// Essence released a notice saying that know one of that name works for Essence nor is Neyo no where in October or November issue.
If he was it wouldn't matter because he makes hit after hit!!

he was married but then divorced. he has a son though, with his previous wife who i believe is 7 years old
