13 got it's bad reputation because of the number of people attending the Last Supper - 12 Disciples and Jesus.
Judas was considered the "unlucky 13th" because of his betrayal.
Since the origins of the "unlucky number", people have begun to associate 13 with bad luck in general.
The more power - that is, the more "belief" you give a superstition or "unlucky number" - makes it all the more likely you will associate negative things whenever they happen around this particular number or object.
It's a trick of the mind called "remote association", nothing more.

I like the number 13. I'm a dart player and have used a triple 13 to go out on in a 501 game lots of times. So for me, it's lucky.

Not only no 13 is considered to be unlucky but also 13th Friday which is worse than 13. All superstitions

I don't have any bad experiences with 13, its just old superstitous stuff like the number 666! It was friday the 13 that the catholics made the decreefor the knights templer to be killed apparently!

No. I don't. I use to work in New York City. This is an excercise to see how many elevators you can get in and out of in the course of a week. You'd be surprised how many old buildings didn't have a thirteenth floor button for you to press. It went right on to the fourteenth floor! Ridiculous.
