The debate would have to be done with interpreters. It would be like the interview Ahmadinejad did with Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes. That was enough of a harangue.

It might be interesting to see how Bush would do against the President of Iran , but It will never happen . Bush will not ( as he sees it ) give credibility to the man . Besides he knows that he is not a debater , he's a decider . He doesn't have a good command of the English language .
point 2.
No harm , except Bush might look the fool , that he is , speaking .
If he could get his point across without making a major mistake , he might do OK .
On point 4. Yes I do think we should hear ( if we don't believe ) what they both have to say to each other .
As far as Bush winning the debate , who is to say who does .

1. The person who see's Iran as a threat will tell you no. But most intelligent people know that Bush would like to be remembered as a war president....he said that himself. He uses force first and diplomacy later....if he even does that.
2. No harm would come from it....it may infact give us a more indepth look at what exaclty Iran is trying to accomplish.
3. He should do this because he needs to repair a tarnished image on foreign policy. His "shoot em up" attitude has made Americans hated worldwide.
4. Are we preparing for war? Most likely. Will it happen? No. They can't finish the debacle they started in Iraq. What makes you think they can do any better in Iran?
5. You have to determine what exactly his policies are first. And infact whether he is telling the truth when he presents them. We all know about that administrations lies revolving around Iraq.
PS to all you people who say that Iran is "facist." Please look up the definition of "facist" and then look at the way your government acts. Tell me who is closer. It is interesting that this word was never used to describe these people until Bush did it a few weeks ago. It would seem to me that they are paying attention to blogging and realizing they are being seen as facist themselves.

1. No
2. Bush can't even win a debate with other Americans, let alone some fundamentalist from some other culture. He will most likely make America look even worse to people of other countries
3. Bush will make our country look exactly how we don't want it to look to our enemies, uninformed and weak
4. The last thing I want to hear on the eve of a war is two equally dumb idiots try and come up with reasons why the other one is wrong.
5. Bush can be arguing for why cancer is bad and he would still lose the debate.

1. No.
2. The USA does not exchange diplomats with Iran. By the president sitting down with the supposed leader of Iran, it means that the president officially recognizes the president of Iran as a legitimate leader of a legitimate government. Once that stage is set, military action is only permissible with a declaration of war, and we are tied from praxis under the war powers act.
3. As above,
4. I am quite educated on the issues, and quite frankly cannot trust man who took Americans hostage, personally, and denies the holocost.
5. Of couse he would win the debate, but the president of iran would win just by being allowed to debate.

2. He could look like a fool
3. You have to admit that Iranian guy is quite eloquent and does back up his thoughts and theories with evidence (see 60 mintues interview with the Iranian president).
4. ok... Iraq was a country without a decent millitary... been like 3 years in Iraq and they still cant beat the insurgents... Iran has a millitary and close allies.. only way to win is to nuke and if one nuke explodes everyone does with retaltion nukes... so no invasion...
