Actually, you're kind of right. But it's not (just) black and white and it's not (just) about beauty. Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder.
On the other hand, mixed race children in general simply have better genetic potential because it removes any potential or traces of ancestral interbreeding. Go back a thousand years and you'll find that there are a whole fewer pure people of ANY race. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and jet travel wasn't invented yet, some interbreeding somewhere along the line may have happened or may happen still before we get to 2006. Remember all them crazy kings? There you go.
So why don't people have more mixed marriages? Again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, cultural differences, racism in its truest sense, and not everyone likes or can afford jet travel and travel documents.
Fast forward another thousand years or two. Let's say pure races have been wiped out (much like pure Egyptians?). Would mixed races still have a higher genetic potential? No. EVERYONE would have more similar genetic potential -- but higher than had they been 'pure'.
If we were to mix the genes of all the pure bred dogs in the world, we'd come up with the dog with the best genetic potential. He doesn't have big character quirks, hardly gets sick, lives a long life, is strong, fast, and agile, and can live on crumbs -- the pure mutt.

LOL! My son is mixed and I have to say he is a very good looking young man. He was an adorable baby. I also have an all white daughter and she was adorable too. I think babies are all adorable. I know you didn't ask this but I'll tell you anyways. As a white mom of a mixed race child I hate when people call him "the black kid" a lot of his white friends do that. It is really offensive to me like I had nothing to do with his birth. Just some useless information.

Not sure why, my mother is white & my father is black, my mom used to tell me " You have the best of both worlds" I think the two races make the pretties babies b/c there are so many combinations that can come out of the union...Light to creamy mocha skin, really kinky hair to spiral loose curls, brown to hazel to freaky gray/blue eyes...the list goes on & on!

Uh, I don't think my mixed babies look any prettier than any other race. You are expressing your opinion. That's fine, friend. But don't short sight yourself...there are lovely people of all races and mixtures. In my opinion, (since you shared yours) the African women of the Masai tribe are some of the loveliest women in the world. Their faces are very symmetrical, their have a proud carriage, and they are not frail. They are stout, fine women with good bone structure and build.
America just has a fascination with white/black mixed people, because it was such a taboo in earlier times here. Eh, to each his own. I hope you don't miss out on true love because you are busy chasing an image to infatuate your self with.
