If I ask u what u like more Chalk or cheese? Your first reaction will be huh.... And u will say they both are very different how can we ever compare the two?
But still if we were to compare the two I feel 9/11 was worse. 9/11 instilled this feeling of fear amongst Americans. It changed the way world looked at terror and terrorists. Katrina was a natural disaster worsened by the mismanagement of the government authorities. Mismanagement is something we can reduce. We can take lessons and be prepared for any such eventuality in the future. Agreed that loss in Katrina was immense but it provided us a lesson for the future. Whatever has happened will prepare us better for such eventualities in future. Whereas regarding 9/11 we have learnt some lessons but whether those lessons will be useful or not nobody knows. Terror never comes in similar packings.

Well they were both terrible in their own rights. First, 9/11 was made by people who think very extreme and despicable acts against Americans. My brother who used to fly for United Airlines was ALWAYS scared of flying after these attacks. He kept saying he saw his plane hitting the world trade centers and he actually knew some of the other flight attendants on the one who hit the world trade center. He also couldn't cope with the fact that the airline community was always supposed to go along with the hijackers and with their pleas and not make them very angry so this totally goes against their training. In the end he quit flying altogether. Also President Bush administration had all of these warnings and clues of what was coming and his administration totally ignored the signs and going to war was his way of getting the public back on his side again.
Second, Katrina was terrible in its own right too. It was an act of God but if the government would have been more prepared it would not have been so bad. Also, if the resources were (supposedly) in place prior to the hurricane the people there were not have died and dealt with sweltering heat of the Super dome and the people still in their homes were not have died if the Bush administration acted so accordingly.
President Bush administration is to blame for both of these terrible and horrible acts

911 would be considered worse than Katrina because it was an act of terrorism, Katrina was an act of nature. Hurricanes happen all the time, some are worse than others. If you live in that part of the country you can basically expect them to happen.

Both were devastating events. Because of 9/11 many people died and are still dying overseas. Because of Katrina many people lost their lives, homes and much more. Terror attacks can be prevented. Mother nature can not.

I'm going against the grain....Katrina was worse. Sure natural disasters will happen, and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it, but far less people would have died if our government would have stepped up and done what they were supposed to do.

9/11-because it happened so fast, with no warning and with deliberate intent to harm.
Katrina was bad--but most of the people refused to evacuate in enough time. The levees broke, but the fact that in the face of a major hurricane, they hadn't moved to shelters previously just compounded a bad situation made worse by bad judgement.

9/11
Natural disasters will happen. We should have been better prepared, but people need to evacuate when asked.
9/11 was strange. I watched a video on it, and the clues didn't match up. The kind of plane that the Gov. said crashed into the Pentagon wasn't the kind ppl saw, or the kind they found evidence of
