I have some old movies on VHS, and would like to get them converted to DVD, because they aren't available in that format.

Are the VHS movies homemade or commercial. If they are commercial, then they may have technology that prevents their copying to DVD (depends on when the VHS movies were made).

What you do Is Buy you a Dvd/VCR combo ont that has a dubbing feature and a Dvd Burner .Then all you do is put in the tape press dumb insert a Dvd-R and your all set.
