So remember all those cool cartoons we grew up with? Is there anything like that now or is all just pokemon and stuff like that? I remember that people thought some of those cartoons were too violent and were harmful to children, but I think we all turned out alright? What do you all think? I think we were lucky? I mean who remembers Alf Tales and Alvin and the Chipmunks?

Oh and all those old Marvel comic shows were good too. They had a superman cartoon, Wonder woman, Spiderman and even a show about Hulk Hogan and other wrestlers.

Heck yea I remember all those cartoons, im 27, when I was younger I loved some transformers and g.i. joe...(by the way if you like transformers check out the teaser trailer for the new movie!!!!! http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/transformers/ )
He-man, thundercats, and all those were great cartoons too, and yes I also watched alvin & the chipmunks I dont remember alf tales though.. I remember the show with alf on it. I agree with you, I think we were lucky also, they were great cartoons... You remember Chip & Dale rescue rangers, or Talespin... I also remember watching a Dennis the menace cartoon almost everyday when I got out of school.

he-he, You must be an 80's baby! I think cartoons these days are dumb, and created by no-talents cartoonists. (I probably shouldn't talk though, I can't even draw a decent stick figure).
I enjoyed watching Loony Toons, Gummy Bears, but not ALF. And I also liked the others you mentioned. NOW, I'm stuck watching reality TV. But I must say I enjoy watching Simpsons, Futurama, and Spongebob. But the 80's were the best!

But alas, for those of us who are young at heart from that generation- there is nothing. *sobbing*.
The only cartoons that I'll watch now are South Park, Futurama, The Family Guy and The Simpsons.

What's sad is the recent news that some company in the UK is making some classic Tom and Jerry cartoons edit out smoking scenes because of one complaint.
I saw bring back the classics!! Let's enjoy them!!! Better than this stuff that's on today.

I loved those shows, especially M.A.S.K. & Go Bots. They weren't too violent.
There are some really good cartoons on now that I let my son watch like Bob the Builder, Jay Jay the Jet Plane, Lilo & Stitch just to name a few.

I remember Fraggle Rock, My little pony, BUGS BUNNY! It's awful that they don't show those cartoons now bc they are "too violent". So I bought the 4 disc DVD set of Looney Tunes so my son could watch the cartoons I did when I was little.

dont be dissin pokemon and by the way they give a new version of gi joe in4kids tv which is in channel 29 from sometime in7:00 in the morning to 11:00AM plus they have had tons of new marvel like a new fantastic 4 and dc comic shows like batman and superman they even are gettin a new version of scooby doo on kids WB but they have a new action made for the loony toons its not that shows have aroused into a state of complete stupidness its just that people from those times are now adults and adult shows have changed to your liking and kids shows are changed to our liking you don see us saying oh no they dont give that soap opera anymore mainly because we don't live that long but it's just a change of the generation it happened to your parents too soo just understand theese shows arent for you any more its for us time changes things that doesn't make it bad its just that you won't like the kids shoew mainly because your not kids

Yeah, and the smurfs and the gummy bears and the wuzzles and the transformers. we had the best cartoons, the only cartoons that are good now are the ones meant for adults. mr. wizard was good too.

I totally agree with you!! All of the cartoons nowadays are much more violent than back then. They jus don't make them like they used to...
