if life is a lock, then maybe you are considering yourself to be inside the lock. that is, if your life is a lock, then you are entrapped by your life. so the key will be whatever you find to free you. anyhting that makes you feel free from the clutches of life is the key.

Why is life a lock to you? That's sad. You might want to try opening up to a higher spiritual source and doing some cleansing exercises.. eat better, sleep more, rest and excercise.. you'll feel better..
In a metaphorical sense, perhaps the "key" would be finding your purpose in life and fulfilling it. Good luck.

That's a great question. You stumped me and usually I have some kind of answer to everything hehe...I would say my key is my mind....my mind trying to fit into the key hole of life...twisting and turning everyday trying to make it fit in and open the door to all of lifes answers but i try to get the door to open but haven't gotton it open yet...i doubt anyone has...
