Because rap in other countries is not very good. Seriously, the entire UK has a handful of good rap / hip-hop artists, i don't think I've ever heard rap come from an Asian country. Americans love country music, too (which actually does have the most listeners nation wide.)
America takes pride in the cool things it creates, like jazz, blues, rock etc. But don't worry, we make fun of the stupid things we create, too; like hair metal, boy bands and beat poetry.

Cause Americans are weird. I like hip hop and rap and pop and rock but people have different tastes in music.

I don't know. I'm not a fan of the whole rap/hip hop scene. I'll listen to anything else. Heck i even find myself listening to some jazz and classical every once in awhile. I just don't get rap.

not just Americans. i love rock and pop just as much. the thing about rap and hip hop is, it is unlike any other music. it is good to listen to and dance to. it makes you want to move and makes you feel good.

however, i don't like the rap songs with too many swear words or graphic lyrics about violence and sex.

Back in the day, rap was a political statement.

After 1995, rap became a glorified lifestyle.

Because Rap actually makes statements that other music doesnt. I dont mean crime or drugs like most people say rap is all about. I mean they speak about how our government and politics are messed up, how real life events effect all of us.
Listen to Eminem and his views.

Rap music is yet another manifestation of a decadent society on the verge of collapse.

i'm do not evaluate myself liberal anymore in view that I dislike both neo cons/liberal officials and connect more beneficial with libertarians in view that they prefer to proceed to adhere to the structure. I pay interest to quite some rap music and that i do not care what someone needs to call themselves. If black human beings favor to call themselves african american or inspite of. Plus there are diverse white rappers now, some even say ***** themselves. although i glance at it in case you born the following your black or of African descent because you weren't born in Africa, yet to each and each their own. the position I stay in Texas the more youthful generations call themselves ***** in spite of skin colour even as describing someone. You listen human beings in spite of skin colour say you advise that white ***** or the black *****. that's relies upon on your age and how you're saying it if for it to be considered as a racial slur. initiate telling neo conservatives about this being a republic because they proceed to assert that's a democracy each and each of the time also, it receives demanding because they nonetheless help those that's in basic terms not any diverse then what we've. Politics is as faux as wrestling because in case you imagine they are at odds with one yet another your being fooled and that's rigged so that they proceed imposing a similar guidelines.
