If you brought all seven expansions packs and all the shopping packs(once they have all been finished and released), would they all fit on your computer, or completely flood it, with the game running at the slowest speed possible?
Would there be any computers that could handle all those games?

Seven expansion packs will be out eventually. I know there are only three at the moment, with Pets on the way.

Edit to update to the new angle of question.
---
My machine is ready to take all the expansion packs. I've got the room to spare. My machine would not be 'flooded', and would not run all that slowly. When playing the Sims 2 now, I often have several other programs running at the same time including database (Paradox) and graphics editing (PSP) since I'm usually also doing work. I do plant to get the CPU upgraded in the next year or so, but I've got plenty of time. :)
So there are certainly machines that can handle it, and machines that handle it now. Some may only need a few tweaks. Mine is not alienware (I wish!) but is built from scratch using whatever I can find a good deal on. Motherboard, RAM, Harddrive, extra fans, cables, Vid Card -- next upgrade will be a new mobo and CPU. :)
Are you trying to buy or build a machine? "Rolling your own" can be a lot of fun but a bit tedious!
=== old stuff below
Generally if a computer is not sold as a 'gaming machine' it will tend to have average hardware so you usually have to upgrade. But many can play the game adequately, but will have a harder time with huge fancy lots with lots of trees, furniture and sims. If your computer is slowing down, you'll find smaller and plainer lots are a lot faster to load, especially if you turn off a log of the fancy settings (like mirror, detail, houses on other lots).
How much space? You need minimum to have about 15 to 20 gigs on a hard drive if you get the game and every expansion and fun pack and do a reasonable amount of downloads and if you also get the tools to redesign and recolor your stuff (Homecrafter tool is one). If you save movies and make stories and store houses and families you build and want to reuse or share, you need more disk space. This is less a problem to worry about since huge hard drives are less expensive than good video cards and CPUs. Many of the new machines now come with at least 80 gigs of space, so the Sims 2, operating system and basic hardware may use up to about half of that, depending on what else you need to install. My current hard drive is 250 gigs and I got it for $50 from woot.com (you have to check daily for what's new for that day).
As to gaming machines, definitely Alienware among the best gaming machines - that's what they are built for, but you have to have a ton of simoleans to buy them. They also make better gaming laptops - and more efficient cooling since laptops tend to run hot and will crash with an graphics and cpu intense game like the Sims 2. Other companies make good machines too, but you need to tweak for the best gaming parts, which adds up. I build my own computers so putting in new stuff as my needs change helps me save money compared to buying a brand name.
There are not seven EPs for the Sims 2 yet. There are objects included in some 'fun packs' but those are not expansion packs.
EPs are University, Nightlife, and Open for Business.
Pets is coming next, so that makes four.
Fun packs are the Holiday pack, Family Fun and Glamour Life. The latter is coming out now or in days.
If you have a computer already and want to test it for all the expansion packs so far, then you could run the Sims 2 Open for Business test here and see which parts of your current system needs to be tweaked.

It's a wonderful game! I hope you enjoy it.

I have all the expansion packs on my computer, I'm waiting for Glamour Life to come out this week so I can get that too.
I have 768 MB Ram and it seems to be handling it fine.
I would suggest upping your RAM so the game plays smoothly.
If you have a 1GB or more you shouldn't have any problems.
Before I upgraded my RAM I was running much slower and the applications loaded slower as well.
Each time you add a pack, you're not simultaneously running all the games at once, the games just add components of the new game onto the previous edition you have loaded.
Should be fine, just add RAM if you find that it's running slower.

Seriously lol. Or, go into the Task Manager, and under the "Processes" tab, click on User Name, and close ALL programs next to Owner (or your PC name) EXCEPT FOR taskmgr.exe (that's the box you have open) and explorer.exe. Close all the others, and any game will run better. Just make sure you re-enable all your protection programs again by restarting the PC.
A tech from EA gave me this tip to help my old 512RAM machine run Sims2. I now have 2GB of ram, so I'm good.
