The past is the past for a reason. To judge someone based on something they might have done years before they met you doesnt mean he is going to be the same way now. People change over time. To hold it against him is kind of a bad thing. Everyone does something in the past that they regret over time and they get over it and learn from it. People grow up and change. If you are going to judge him for it then you should dump him, cause then maybe he will find someone better. I would be happy that he told me then kept me in the closet and I found out another way. He trusted you enough to tell you in the first place and he didnt think that you would freak out. It takes a lot of guts to do that. Good luck

My fiance got expelled from an entire country and I still love him.. It depends on the situation though. If you don't think you can work past it then I would just cut it off. Tell him the truth. That's the best thing to do. Probably the easiest thing too. That way you won't have to come up with a bunch of excuses.

The past is in the past. First be sure that you want to cut off contact with him. Maybe he has changed for the better since then? At least he was man enough to tell you first hand before any major attachment was established.

If you are sure about cutting him off just be honest. Anything else would be rude and dishonest.

If you are truly willing to let the past dictate what your future is going to be, then simply be honest with him and let him know that you don't feel that he is the right person for you. Plain and simple. People may tell you to let the past be the past, but only you know what is right for you and if you do not feel comfortable in the relationship, then walk away.

Why are you judging him on his past. My fiance was not an angel in his past but people can change for the better if they work hard an change their environment so they continue on that path. What is sooo bad??

Use your judgement. If you are questioning the relationship you really should end it.
