Not very well. Air conditioners need a place to vent the hot air and moisture out. If she doesn't like the teacher next door, maybe you could cut a hole in the wall and let it exhaust into his/her room! There are independent units that are free-standing that might work though. Good luck, hope she has a great year!

it can but you need a place for the exhaust vent, otherwise you are cooling and heating at the same time. Equilibrium needs to be maintained. Heat is generated in order to cool things, so you gotta have some way to expel the heat generated in the room by the air conditioner. So you dont need to install it on an outside wall but you do have to find some way to vent out the hot air created when the AC is running

You have to have somewhere to dump the hot air. Outside is usually the best place. You could send it to the next room, but those occupants might not like that.

No, You need to have somewhere for the water it takes out of the air to drain to. Maybe you could set up a tub underneath the back end for a place for the water to go??

If it has a rear condenser it will need to exhaust outside to get rid of the heat.

it would be best intsalled in a window,,as the exaust will defeat the purpose of the a/c see if they can install it in a area with at least outside ventelation

Unless the AC is one of those portable freestanding units that do not require venting - NO.
