Not talking about a large sum of money. Just maybe say, $20.00.

Most friends would be happy to lend you the money as would your mother or father or sister or brother or aunt or uncle or even cousin or grandparents. Even your next door neighbor.

However, if you do not pay it pay when you promised, you can probably forget a next time. And your stock will go up considerable if you pay back a little more than you borrowed.

I have a friend that continually borrows money from me and getting him to pay it back is like pulling eye teeth. I flat told him that I would not lend him any more money ever.

I think my sister has been smart to pawn stuff when she needed to. I never would have thought of that myself but she lives in Vegas so I'm sure she's surrounded by pawn shops. LOL

After her first marriage she gave me some of the jewelry her husband had got her over the years. My husband & I altered two and now wear them w/ our wedding rings. The most valuable one I put in storage for when her daughter turns 16 (I thought it would be a nice gift representing the love her parents had for each other that created her, even though their marriage dissolved their wedding ring & she, herself would always remain -- anyhow I thought it would make a nice Sweet 16 gift). So I kept the others for the occasional special occasion.

It turns out she was SOO grateful I held on to them & took good care of them over the years -- her current S.O. is very controlling and won't let her work or have any $ & now he's thrown her out & she has nothing just the way he planned it.

So verrrry long story short: I gave her back all her jewelry which she pawned and now she is set up and starting over & has a new job. Hopefully Mr BadNews will leave her alone & she can get on w/ her life. Good Luck!
