Ask the doctor to write a note saying that you are separated from your family and pets. The culture shock is too much for you and you living alone and are desperately in need of companionship, etc, etc --
They may say to get a roommate, so be prepared to say you don't want to live with strangers.

what the apartment manager is referring to is a service animal or emotional pet service animal. don't be a fraud and try to get this service just because you want a dog. find a place that takes them and move. your doctor will not risk his reputation for you.

well...ppl who need dogs are disabled in some way, whether its a guide dog for the blind or those in a wheelchair...etc...
if ur dog is jus ur pet, you cant get a note for it

do you need them? tell your doctor that your dogs are vital to your sanity or that they give you that social interaction that you dont get with others ..something like that.

CLAIM DEPRESSION TO DOCTER AND GET A NOTE LEGALY THEY HAVE TO LET YOU. GOOD LUCK IN COURT THOUGH VERY COSTLY.
