No, the RAC, AA, Greenflag and all those other people should be stopped and fined. Of course it's legal. but you can't set up a business on a particular bit of road - it would be an obstruction.

Every one seems to be saying YES - but the question is IS IT legal..... and the answer is NO! Only in an emergency is it allowed, but I think the questioner means in a fixed place on a road - like outside his house, anf for profit.

Yes for lots of reasons....Just takes one neighbour to report you and you will find out how many laws you are breaking......tax and VAT may also take an interest in you.
