look, i'm not some doomsday prophet, but i really am curious about this global change in weather patterns we've been experiencing lately. drop in temperatures, influx of tornadoes and typhoons, freak disruptions of marine ecological patterns etc. i'm curious enough to want to write an article on it.
i'd like to hear of any freak weather patterns you've experienced/heard/read about. if possible, link me to any article/website that might help.
also, it would be cool if i could get some input regarding what you think about the connections between the weather and uh...the end of the world. haha- cue: nervous laughter :p
thanks, would be a great help.

Cloud patterns seem to have changed, increasing and more scattered.
I don't worry about the end, I'm ready for whatever!

Weather in Turkey has changed, too. The winters are colder and the summers are much hotter than usual, for the last two years. But I think and all the other countries' weather changes are due to the global warming, destruction of the atmosphere and the general pollution. SO the doomsday will come in the end because of these bad situations. The atheists will call it the mistreatment of the nature and the religious will call it the end of the world.

Just in case any of you missed it...the quake that caused the great tsunami also caused a bit of a change in the location of the pole.. 5 degrees displacement... would easily account for most weather changes.. Other than that, there have been previous global warming cycles.. coral reefs give evidence of that occurance. So claiming pollution as the cause seems to be just a little off base. Where was and what caused the pollution bringing about the previous cycles? While on the subject... what caused the instant freezing of the mastadons of 10,000 years ago. Each end of the cycle seems to go one way or the other.. but it is cyclic.

I don't have an answer...just an opinion. I believe we have surpassed the end of the world and are currently tryin to rebuild the one we have. Maybe Noah was asking the same question you are and well, if that flood truly happened and all (I am not an expert in history or weather), I guess that was the end of one world and the beginning of another. The same goes for the dinaosaurs and the Ice Age, also what about Pangea? I think we are constantly destroying and replenishing and evolving to learn how to live on this ever-changing planet. Hope that helps?

The Earth has been around for 100,000,000 years.
Mankind has be present on Earth for at least 10,000 years.
Mankind has been keeping track of weather patterns and temperatures for 150 years.
So, I don't think we have the ability to even recognize a true "trend" in weather or temperature.
Additionally, the Guiness Book of World Records lists 1917 as the hottest year of record.

I think the beginning of the end is upon us.
This is not an altogether bad thing.
if we can't be the first people here we may as well be the last...
In the 1800's there was a mini ice age that froze NY harbor in the middle of summer. The tempature keeps going up, the ice caps are melting. We are going to be under water soon....
Then when this all happens we are going to swing back into an ice age.

No unusual weather patterns here. Some "regional" warming and some "regional" cooling perhaps. But, everything else is as usual. Perhaps, you have your own theories?!
