Read the job description carefully and have concrete examples of previous tasks you have done that are related

most interviewers use "behavioural interviewing" which simply means that they will look at what you have done in the past to judge how you will act in the future

Be honest. Give thoughtful answers.

Be prepared by knowing what job you are interviewing for and how you would best fill it.

Learn something about the company.

Dress appropriately and be clean.

Turn off your cell phone/pager or better yet, leave it in the car.

Pay attention and don't fidget.

know about the position& company you are interviewing for, BE ON TIME (early even!!), dress professionally- no slutty clothes, no flip flops, no denim! answer questions as honestly as possible, don't be afraid to ask questions about the position or the company. EYE CONTACT is a MUST! be polite and curteous, shake hands with the person interviewing and thank them for their time as you leave.
and BIG way to impress them--- after your interview immediately write a thank you letter for them taking their time to interview you, again express your interest in working for their company, and close with soemthing along the lines of ' i hope to be hearing from you soon'. faxing it is alright, but it looks much better to mail it! send it that same afternoon so that they will have it shortly after-- hopefully before they make their decisions...

Act natural and dont act like you rehearsed the whole interview. Also, at the end of the interview thing, say, "i believe i will be an asset to this company". I read it in a newspaper.

Ask questions! Lots of them! It shows your interest in the company. If they ask what your weaknesses are, don't say "I'm a perfectionist." Be honest. If you don't have a lot of experience, say you don't, but that you're willing to learn. And always follow-up the interview with a mailed, hand-written thank you note. Hope this helps!

By being as informed about the company as you can be, be personable, confident about your abilities to work independently but open to the ideas of others. Just be yourself. If you are meant to be in that position then it is yours.
