A non-toxic alternative is Safer's Insecticidal Soap. Make sure that all surfaces of the plant are covered, including the undersides of the leaves. You may have to repeat in a week or so if new eggs hatch. That should take care of it. Watch that other plants are not infested. The little buggers sure can spread!

If out side just use the washing up water from the dishes, pour into watering can and use were needed. Inside mix couple drops of dish liquid soap with water in a spray bottle, also gives shine to leaves. No need for the expensive sprays.

get an old spray bottle and make up a dilute solution of washing up liquid. spray the plants, especially under the leaves and on the new shoots where there are most white/black fly.
works a treat and doesnt hurt the plant or ur garden.
