Ok, what's done is done, but EWWW, what WERE you thinking? It is not advisable to eat after anyone for so many health reasons; but someone with visible sores on their mouth? UGH!
Having vented my grossed out emotions, YOU CANNOT GET HIV FROM SHARING A SPOON! HIV is transmitted through the exchange of bodily fluids in semen, vaginal secretions and blood. It would be AN EXTREMELY RARE CASE if you contracted it in the manner you describe. We all eat in restaurants behind God knows who and what they might have going on medically. Yes, a dishwasher is used, but it is only as effective in killing germs as the operator and the right temperature of water can make it. That is why we have immune systems. We are exposed to millions of germs on a daily basis. Our bodies protect us naturally, but we need to take precautions too. If this worries you a great deal go ahead and have an HIV test done. HIV can take up to 10 years to show on a test, but go ahead if it will ease your mind.

You could get tested but I don't think it shows up right away. Talk to a doctor. Then ask yourself why you shared a spoon with someone who has sores all over her mouth while your friend is telling you she has AIDS.

Have blood tests done. Normally, this would not be serious, but if there was any mouth sore or scratch in your mouth, yes, you could have contracted. Get tested, AIDS and HIV is serious stuff.

OMG!! You must get tested. Not to scare you, of course, but HIV is serious and it can incubate for 6 years before you notice any symptoms. Please go get tested!
