South Florida is going to be hit by TS Ernesto. Do you think it will become a hurricane before it hits? Real answers only please.

No. the maximum sustained winds are only at about 45 mph, barely even making it a tropical storm. Its more like a real strong tropical depression.

If there was more water for it to travel over before it hits mainland US, then it might, but dont count on it getting that strong.

Well... technically it already WAS a hurricane.

The other answer, is NO. It will NOT become a hurricane again. For a good site to go to to follow and make sure, and to track the storm (and it has computer models showing possible directions/paths of the storm, go to www.wunderground.com)

On the news, they said that it will get stronger and become a hurricane when it hits Florida.
