I have them too and I'm only 108lbs and here's what worked for me...Demarkable® Dermal Smoothing Lotion. It dramatically helps reduces the appearance of the size and discoloration of scarring and stretch marks anywhere on the skin, in as few as 30 days! Also, helps smooth damaged skin.
This daily treatment lotion containing natural plant extracts that visibly improve the appearance of skin affected by discolorations, scarring and stretch marks due to such occurrences as weight change, pregnancy and acne. Helps retexture damaged skin, significantly smoothing and reducing the size and discoloration of blemished areas. Works best when treatment is begun soon after scarring occurs and area has healed.

If you think that's bad...wait until you get pregnant! Some people have thousands and some people don't get any. The majority of women get stretch marks. Since you're getting them on your lower back I assume your hips are developing and stretching out the skin. You can put various creams, oils and lotions on but none of it will help that much. Not even laser surgery will totally get rid of stretch marks. It will make the red or purple ones silver...but so will time. In a year or two they turn silver/white anyway (not the same color as your skin). Go to Beverly Hills if you're going to get the laser. It's the only place that really works. Here's a promising site I found during my quest for getting rid of stretch marks. Dr. Simon S. Ourian has a great portfolio.

They're caused by skin stretching faster than it can cope with. This can be during weight gain, weight loss, pregancy or adolescence.
You can't get rid of them, but you can fade them significantly.
There is a product in the UK which has a good reputation...

Here's a testimonial from an expert...
"From the anecdotal evidence studied and my personal experience with Bio-Oil there is no doubt that it produces remarkable benefits on the skin. In my 20 years experience as a cosmetic scientist I’ve rarely come across a more impressive skincare product."

The age old question, NO! Sorry you can not get rid of them, well surgery can dramatically reduce the appearance, but lotions and oils, they dont help. I have asked a doctor! Its a tearing of your skin that causes a scar(stretch mark) and cannot be repaired. They can turn white and less noticeable over time though.

altho strechmarks due appear when someone gains weight or is pregnant.. in your case its because you don't have enough elastic in your skin.. not much you can do about it.. except see a doctor 2 have them removed.. but you will get more as time goes by.. try something like cocoa butter .. or ask the pharmacy 4 something.. bummer eh

i tried to find the answer to this one as well. you would think that stretch marks are only for large people because their skin "stretches". but that's not the case. it could be found on skinny people as well. i think stretch marks develop from an accelerated growth in mass over a very short period of time. in other words, you caught a growth spurt all of a sudden. Another cause could be genetic.

You probably had an extreme growth spurt. Sorry to tell you, those will stay with you forever. Stretch marks are scars. My husband and his brother both have the same marks on their lower backs from growing about six inches in a summer when they were younger.

I had that happen b/c I'd had a major growthspurt during 4th grade (6 inches in 3 months) You get them from your skin not having enough moisture and you can't get rid of them but they'll fade. Don't worry too much about it though b/c most people get a least a couple.

They just happen to some women when skin stretches. You can't get rid of them, but cocoa butter will help tone them down some.
