PROUD to be a White African that wants to see South Africa take it's place in the world as a leader in Africa again without Racist's from both sides!!!

ok happy white boy, go on being happy and leave the state of africa alone. If you can't fix it why the hell even ask? Are you gonna go save africa superman? I doubt that. First I would like to say that Africa used to be one of the most highly advanced and successful continents. Times have changed, things have gotten rough, hopefully they get better. However, you make it sound as if africa was always less advanced. You can see the proof of Africa's advancement throught the pyramids, the great sphinx and other African civilizations that have been destroyed. Timbuktu was once one of the most advanced cities of Africa's times. Does the Czech Republic have evidence of advancement as old as that of Africa? No. So please don't sit up here and talk junk about Africa as though Africa was always uncivilized. As a matter of fact, Africa is on it's way, it's progressing a little slow, but it's getting there! Excuse the hell out of me, I happen to be from Nigeria and I know, because I've been there and there are cities, buildings, even a mcdonalds! Now isn't that a surprise? There are even paved roads! oh my! It sounds as though you are a prejudice guy assuming from this sentence "Africans really don't seem to have any respect for human life at all.WHY?". You make it sound as though Africa is full of uncivilized human beings who know not much about life, all they do is swing from trees and crap on the street. No respect for human life? Who the hell do you think you are making such an assumption. I am from Nigeria, which is in africa the place where you say we "don't seem to have any respect for human life at all" and yet here I am. An African lady who has a computer, can type and speak english as well as my native language. I also have a house in Africa complete with a kitchen, televison and flushing toilet, wow. There are many African countries that are well along their way. Let's not forget that there are also countries in Europe that still have a long way to go. It isn't accurate to assume that Africa is the only place undeveloped, do some more research man, there are many many many undeveloped countries around the world. You ask why, but there isn't a why, it's already changing. Unless you have visited Africa and seen the changes you little racist bigot, you need to just stop talking or in this case, typing such idiot uneducated questions.

From what I have read and understand, many Africans are very traditional people. They would prefer to stick to more traditional means of life than to evolve and become like the rest of society...so worried about money and not about family.

I practice an African Traditional Religion...one that has its roots in Africa. It centers around the family, and community. Progression as a whole instead of as an individual. As you know some people progress slower than others. Would you stay behind with the rest of your community and help then to progress? or would you pack up, leave, and forget (or not worry) about where you come from?

Answering yes to the first question is probably the reason why Africa is the way it is. Leave well enough alone. I think there are many beautiful traditions and cultures associated with this beautiful continent.

Africa issue is not something that just ordinary people can tackle, there headers know what to do to make Africa Nation being developed but for their own purpose they deny other people of their right which was the purpose of being elected as their president. You see , they've travelled everywhere around the world and they know what Europeans and Americans went through to became of what they are today but instead of taking lesson from that and plan for their tomorrow they deceive their people .So if their headers do the rigth things be assured that Africa will be best continent because they well blessed .

Most African countries have only been independent for about 60 years. By comparison, America had many problems in the infancy of its independence. Certain African countries are rapidly improving. Did you know that Kenya has one of the largest accounting firms in the world. It will take time for any country to develop, but Africa also needs to keep some of the wealth that is flowing out of the continent to stay in Africa (De beers diamonds?)

I grew up in africa

i think that the reason that africa is so backwards is that, if 'white man' had never gone in there and 'taken over' then the african would still be sitting in a mud hut clicking.
Its the europeans that brough about growth
and now that they have all been forced to leave there is no one with enough intelligence and drive and edicationa dn knowledge to run any africa country.
it took europe hundreds of years to get where it is
its just sad

..Point of correction happy white boy...Africans do have respect for human lives,we don't hav ppl shooting innocent ppl and children on d streets daily lyk its a proper thing to do.
Africa is not as undeveloped as d media makes it look...things have changed and are changing, besides ever heard d sayin "Rome wasn't built in a day" America didn't get to where it is in one day...it took time and a journey filled wiv sacrifices, Africa is on her own journey as well.
So you know theres nothin' in the states that ain't in Africa...thank God we dnt have wars and ppl dying at war,we dnt even have problems of natural disasters...
Besides Africans are making history all over the world open your eyes and ears and you'll see and hear...I'm African and I'm proud 2b an African!

first--Africa is a vast continent and encompasses many different nations. Secondly, it depends on your definition of evolution and improvement. Many tribes live in peace & harmony and they seem to have found the truth of what is important. They have not been seduced by capitalism and therefore, the fragmentation of the family unit. Many have communal living and are there to help their neighbors--when we dont even have a clue who are our neighbors. Might I point out that we are the ones who have invaded another country and waged a war that was not ours to begin with? we are seen as terrorists by much of the world--not far behind the ones we fear! Your statement is very inaccurate in its overgeneralization!

Africans believe in survival of the fittest, and that makes them look out for themselves alone. so much corruption and bribery goes on amongst the leaders, the national treasury is seen as belonging to the few people In power and they and their families use up a countries wealth like it belongs to them, so how can Africa grow with that kind of mentality? Africa is supposed to be very rich but our greed is wat is holding us back and of cos the western countries are capitalising on the stupidity of our leaders and are even milking us drier and pretending to help us.

whenever a good candidate comes forth during elections and fellow contestants see he/she has a good agenda and looting the treasury not being one of them, the person is immediately eliminated, that's d reason reasonable and honest people are often too scared to participate in politics in Africa for fear of being killed.

d western world also help us kill ourselves by selling arms to bad leaders whom d know will use the arms to cause grief and destruction.

in-short the root of the problems in Africa is the fact that a lot of people are power hungry and love money more than life itself, that's why the slogan (the love of money is the root of every evil).

Most peole believe that the native African remains in their restricted scheme of development due to them living in sub tropical climates where food and the necessities of life are so freely and readily available that no one has to work really hard to make a living.

You will notice that most improvements in the way of living were developed in areas have a much colder climate.
