I've tried nail varnish remover, I've tried clearasil, I've tried plain old Fairy Liquid and water, and it's just not shifting. Any ideas?

Dry Avon's Skin so soft. I use it all the time to remove paint, and stain from my hands after a project. It's really affordable and smells great. It's also totally gentle.

Pour rubbing alcohol onto a paper towel, then use it to rub off the ink. You can use a gritty hand soap or cleansing cream to do the job, too. One homestyle hint is to dip a cotton ball into milk and swipe over the stain. Hardware stores also carry special natural hand cleansers, gentle to the skin, that will remove these marker stains.

Rubbing alcohol on a soft cotton swab

Then rub baby oil over the spot so it doesn't get too dry

If you're in the UK you could try some Brasso or Duraglit. If you're in the US of A, I'm afraid I don't know the relative names of the products. (It's stuff used for shining brass ornaments.)

I think you'll be surprised at how good the stuff really is.
