I broke up with my boyfriend becasue he lied to me( the lie could've hurt me and the other people who were with us) but I still like him a lot but I can't have him being able to lie to me like that...Did I do the right thing by breaking up with him

One of the things a good relationship is based on, is honesty. I understand that you still adore him, but keep in mind, if he lied to you before, especially if it was a big one that would cause pain....he's bound to do it again.

If you're asking - then you know you did the right thing! Lying should not and cannot be tolerated in a relationship - If he's willing to lie about this and it could have hurt you and other people...then he's a liar with no conscience....Be glad he's gone....NEXT!!!

yes yes yes. he lied, he hurt you. he might lie again. sounds like a REALLY big lie. you did the right thing, but only you can decide how much hurt you can take.

Yea you did. Even if you too get back together he will still remember that lyin is put of the question and he will no be soo quick to lie because he doesn't want to loose you again!
