I was told once that they received free hotel accomodations and airfare to the show.

I've heard that there is a scale that everyone must be paid for being on the show due to union rules. Even if it's a big star on to promote a new movie they get the money.

AT first i thought they were paid actors or something but now i found out that the guest on talk show are given 250.00 by the network.
