Is anyone else disappointed at this devastating news?

As you said, many moons back, I'm just a thick ex-squaddie full of Pig something or other. So I don't know that much!
Not sure if you do or not? Exist, that is.
But you light up my life!

It's not true Zulu 9 about those tooth fairies, they are still very much alive and kicking, as long as we still have children losing their milk teeth, its these teeth that hatch into new fairies..... .for all of your intelligence, you really don't know anything.
Now the question still remains if I exist......
And you will NEVER let me forget it will you? LOL!
And you mine.
Yes... sorry about that... I can hear the illusion being shattered as I type!

That is just total rubbish, I saw a unicorn this morning, he was riding through a field with the tooth fairy on his back and the leprechauns opened the gate for them to go through to the next field were I saw Santa give the unicorn a letter to pass onto Rudolph in case he sees him tomorrow while hes flying about, take no notice of those mean people who have told you they don't exist, they do, I know, I saw them.

I share your devastation!!! You might not be aware of this...Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, don't really exist either! Why do people lie to us about these things in the first place? Don't they realize that someday, we may find out the truth and end up on Yahoo Answers? I am so disappointed!!!

apparently that "someone" doesn't go outdoors much....I have pixies; brownies; and I have fairies in the garden arguing with the leprechauns over the 4-leaf clover; the wee folk are everywhere; and the unicorns??????everyone knows their natural habitat is in the aspen groves along the rivers. That "someone"doesn't know the truth, and it's just a good lesson that you can't believe everything people try to tell you........

Someone's in trouble... The Fairies are crying, the elves are in despair, the leprechauns are are stomping (you NEVER cross a leprechaun) and the trolls are mixing something disgusting to drop on Someones doorstep.
It's 4 months till Christmas, how are we going to get our presents if we cause such upset?

Well... I guess if you want them to exist they can. It's all down to faith. Without trying to cause a religious war here, why is it impossible that there are unicorns etc. but we just cannot see them. As an athiest - I must say that to me it is just the same as believing in God. As long as nobody gets hurt, does it matter if you want to believe in something that helps you through your life? And at the risk of being flippant - they must be real, because I read about them in an old book!

Have you seen any absolute proof? I don't think there is any absolute proof that mythological creatures don't or didn't exist. Especially considering we haven't explored the whole universe yet. Hell we haven't even scratched the surface on our own planet. Maybe there's boiling lava at the earths core, or maybe there's a magic heatshield that creates the illusion!
