I think that it should be ok to drink iced tea during pregnancy. However you do want to be mindful of not drinking too much because of the caffine content the tea has as well as regulating how much sugar you intake with the tea. These things can affect the healthy development of the unborn child.

It's already been said, but the caffeine in iced tea isn't good for you or the baby, so drink limited amounts. Water is the best thing for you to drink while pregnant. If you have never tried it before, try a little lemon juice in your water, it gives it a little zip and makes it less boring.

Up to 300 mg of caffeine a day is safe during pregnancy, and the average glass of iced tea has about 25mg. Coffee has about 50, and sodas have around 25 also. You're okay, so long as you're not drinking gallons.

You aren't supposed to drink anything with caffeine while pregnant, but my Dr. told me a little every now and then will not hurt the baby. She said 3 cups a day is too much.

Technically... you can! BUT doctors recommend that you do not drink anything with caffeine in it. Especially coffee! Also, try to stay away from drinks with too much added sugars. The more natural, the better for you and baby.

I'll be honest here. I had a very high risk pregnancy (which resulted in a very healthy baby girl who is now 8 months old) and I drank TWO 24 packs of diet pepsi a week! The headaches & withdrawal from my caffeine addiction were more stressful to the baby than the caffeine itself.
