A friend gave me a nickle with a indian and buffalo on the other side. She knows I love indian stuff. Is it still worth something? It doesn't have a date on it. It is in very good condition.
Does anyone know what web site for my answer?

examine the coin carefully. If it has a little letter near the lower right (called a mint mark) then it may be legitimate (a "D," or a "P" might be found). put it on a flat surface and see if the coin is thicker in the middle (the buffalo side,) then it is on around the edge. Also this might seem a little weird......but I'm pretty sure in all U.S. Buffalo nickles, the buffalo has a penis dangling, (fairly big too!)
BUT even with all these tips a coin with out a date sounds fishy. It should be on the outer edge on the Indian side( I think on the right) It might be worn almost complete off so use a magnifying glass if you can get one. If you think it is worth it to get the coin checked out try a coin collecter or a hobby store. A real live expert can help you much more than a web site

A US minted coin must have the date visible to have any real value beyond face or minimal collector value.

The buffalo nickles came out first around 1913 and was discontinued in the late 30's or maybe 1940 when the Jefferson nickle was first issued.

ITs worth maybe a little more than a nickle but not by much.

Its historical value and sybology is what makes it such a beautiful peace.

Try and find an Indian head penny there from the 1900s I think.

Buffalo nickels were produced from 1913-1938. They do have dates on them, on the lower left of the Indian side, but it's possible yours was worn off. If so, it's probably not worth much due to the wear, but if you discover it does have a date on it, most are worth between 25 cents and $1.00. They're fun to collect and enjoy, though!
