Play up Pompey, Pompey play up!! Blue army Blue army! Right now i got that out my system, i thought we were brilliant against boro i thought our work rate was second to none we pressed the ball and hassled them for 90 minutes and restricted them to shots from outside the box. I know its early in the season but it can only be good for the players to be the only team in the premiership not to have conceded a goal, as long as they stay fit, because we ain't got the biggest squad a top 10 finish is realistic and an intertoto spot would be lovely, we still got Lua Lua and Mendes to come back yet..yeah! The futures bright, the futures POMPEY!

Portsmouth were outstanding last night. Watched the game. Kanu is ace. And they have probably have on of the best atmospheres at Fratton Park in the country.

Relegated Teams

Watford- Lack of quality players will get them relegated.
Middlesbrough - I can't see them staying in the Premiership because the squad is full of teenagers.
Sheffield United or Reading- Its a struggle for most newly promoted clubs to stay in the Premiership

Promoted Teams

Birmingham City- have done really well to keep hold of some of their decent players and have signed some great young players from Arsenal. I think one of them is called Bentner.

Cardiff- I must admit that I don't really follow Cardiff but i have watched them on television and they look terrific under the management of Dave Jones. They will be the team to beat this season.

Wolves or Sunderland- I would of said Wolves but i have a funny feeling, now that Keane is manager, will guide Sunderland into the Play- Offs.

With three games gone its too early to be thinking of Pompey as European candidates..But it sure as heck is a great start. Kanu could turn out to be a pretty good piece of business for old Harry. But as the season goes on, they will falter. Top ten might just be beyond them but no doubt they will give it a good go. My prediction for them is anywhere from 14th up to tenth. To go down I will stick my neck out and say The three that came up. They don't look good to be honest. Reading made a good go at it on the first day against Boro but then again this is the same boro that got their asses whupped last night. Sheff Utd...hmmm..crap..And Watford are giving it a go at the start but it will be to no avail. They will be the whooping boys for sure. To come up is going to be a hard one. Lets try Birmingham, Wolves and Sunderland. YES...I said it..SUNDERLAND..Keane can work his magic there, that is for sure. At least a playoff place.

Pretty good eh? I'm a Villa fan myself but I've got a soft spot for good old Pompey as I went to uni there. I thought it was wicked when they'd got the three goals but a fourth is a real bonus and a much-needed confidence booster for them. Get in!

Yeah they really worked hard as a team, all Harrys work, I'm a Boro fan so it's hard to say! i think you'll just miss out on Uefa cup and we'll just servive!
Chelsea will probably win the league but i'm rooting for Man u to pip them! Sheff, Watford and Wigon for drop!

Pompey are in for a pretty good season i think. they have made some good signings and theres no way they will get stuck in a relegation battle this year. i think sheff.utd, watford and middlesboro will go down.

like everton two years back and spurs last year, i have a feeling pompey and villa would be the surprise teams challenging for fourth but not quite getting there...........
