How to make a software for use in factories to moniter productivity and losses with out any software knowhow?

I know the input and output requirements. Only thing is I do not know how to write a software programme. I should hire a soft ware engineer or software developers and how to find one?

Why do you need a special program. It seems to me there's nothing in your problem that cannot be solved with an Excel spreadsheet...

HIRE A GOOD ONE AND MAKE SURE THE PROGRAM IS PATENTED AND COPYRIGHTED TO YOU AND NOT HIM .
