i left my razr v3c out in the rain one day and i really need it to work because i cant afford a new one. what can i do? if it is unfixable is there a way to get a new cheap phone? i am with verizon wireless.

I don't know this will work for sure, but you can try it if otherwise you are going to throw it out --
Take out the battery and also the memory chip if it has one.
Get some *distilled* water (this is really pure water, no salts in it) and put the phone in this water to dissolve any salts that may have accumulated from being in the regular tap water.
Now get some 100%, anhydrous alcohol (200 proof ethanol). This is alcohol from which all the water has been removed. Take the phone out of the distilled water and put it in the alcohol for a while. The alcohol will absorb all the water from the inside of the phone. Now take it out of the alcohol and let the alcohol evaporate (dry out). Put the battery and memory chip back in, charge it up, and see if it works. Good luck!

Chances are that your phone is not fixable. If you have tried everything including charging it or taking the battery out and putting it back in and it still won't turn on, then call Verizon and order a replacement phone, and there'll be a charge depending on the make of the phone.

I called the people at cingular, and the lady said to take the battery cover off and remove the sim card. Take the phone (without the battery cover or sim card) and "soak" it in kitty litter. That should help absorb all the water. Just make sure you get really good, absorbable kitty litter (now's not the time to go cheap.)

First take off the battery. hung them in front of the fan for 2 day
if the phone is not yet erro it will work again. but if it already erro let see u luck.
that is the only way .

oh! if u need to replace it get the used phone.
ebay.com or check out some local phone store.

All phones have a 1 year warranty. If it's in warranty, take to Verizon and simply say that it does not work. They might replace it for you.

i dont know if its fixable, but if not, check out online deals for an 'unlocked' phone - geeks.com had some good deals for razrs recently.
You can just get this phone, and use the SIM card from your current phone.

screwed aren't you well try removing all the parts and running a hot hair drier over each part or just leave it for a week v3c will work i guarantee its a solid piece and don't loose hope.
