B.E. and B. Tech. are graduation degree in Engineering and Technology respectively. Both are treated as equivalent in most of the cases, whether it is for further studies or for obtaining a job. There is one more graduation degree called B.Sc.(Engg) offered by some of the universities which is equivalent to B.E. or B.Tech. Any branch of engineering/technology is broadly a course of applied science in that field. It is not a pure science. The basic difference betwen the three courses is the exposer given to the students in respect of the practical aspect of the subject . In B. Tech. more practical exposer is given than B.E. and in B.E. more practical exposer is given than B.Sc.(Engg). However, the course curriculum remains the same.

Most of the answers are good.

In USA.

B.TECH implies the course work is producing technicians. As a rule, with some exceptions, they work under the watch full eyes of an engineer.

B.E. implies the course work is producing an engineer.

It depends mainly on the course work. There may or may not be any difference.

After graduation, a knowledgeable hirer usually hires what they want from particular institute known to the hirer, irrespective of which degree the candidate has or the college gives (eg some universities produce theoretically strong students-some produce practical and hands on students.

Both are basically the same. The degree is a B.E. when you do your graduation from a college affiliated to Osmania University and B.Tech when you do your graduation from a college affiliated to JNTU. B.Tech is said to contain updated portions and everything.

It's just the difference of the degree awarding institute.
There are few institutes that provide BTech, and more that provide B.E.

The curriculum is almost the same.
