I've never used shimmer and was wondering how do you apply it?

1. Take a moment to consider the look you'd like to achieve.

2. Consider the color of your makeup and the color of your outfit when selecting a shade. Gold complements a warmer complexion, while silver works best on cool-toned complexions. Match colored glitter to hues in your makeup and clothing.

3. Complete your makeup before applying glitter to your face. Using a very small amount of glitter, dab it gently near the eyes, just above the lash tips or at the outer corners of the eyes.

4. Get dressed before applying body glitter. Your choices will range between glitter powders, gels and lotions.

Tips:

Wash your hands well immediately after application to remove any residual glitter from your palms.

Warnings:

Use products around your eyes that are specifically formulated for the face to avoid any undesired flaking or running into the eyes.

Face Shimmer Powder

The first rule of applying shimmer is to not apply it to the areas of your face that you do not like. For example, if you have a big nose, don't apply it to your nose. The shimmer makes whatever you put it on stand out. So if you have outstanding cheek bones you would want to put the shimmer on your cheek bones. You would want to apply the shimmer in the places of your face where the sun would hit in teh natural light. You can use it with a brush, or anything that would pick up the powder. The best type of shimmer is the powder kind because it has a better finish.

Apply it with a blush to your face at the places that would ordinairly be touched by the sun. Down center of nose, cheeks above cheekbones under eye toward edge of nose, center of chin, center of forehead (unless you have an oily t zone, shimmer can make it look more oily.)

Make sure you start with a very small amount on the brush, tap it and slowly apply. You can always add more if you need it and blend or else you can look chalky.

If it has a brush, put a little shimmer on the brush and highlight ur cheek bones and the bridge of ur nose that should be enough but u might want to highlight ur forehead-- i don't recommend this if it gets oily or greasy , collar bone, and cleavege too-- make sure u apply a little at a time.. if it doesn't have a brush do the same with ur finger tips -- make sure to wash and fully dry ur hands before starting... but you should get a make-up brush it really makes the difference

If its a gel then you take a small amount like pea sized and smoothe it out over your face mainly by your cheeks and sides of eyes like both sides of your face. If its powder, you take a big blush brush and just take swirl some of the shimmer onto the brush, give a gentle tap, and then apply to the same areas above. Hope I helped!

There should be directions as to what you do with shimmer. But I think all you gotta do is just apply it to the places that you want.
