Are you not yourself being judgemental and critical of others with this question?
Do you think you are superior or in contest with others?
You could not resist doing it could you? So why criticise others who do the same as you have just done?
People on here are from a wide variety of abilities, backgrounds and beliefs. Some have very little language skills, others very weak keyboard and computer skills. Some have great intelligence others are less gifted. Have you not realised that the spell checker is often very slow or does not work during heavy usage periods?
Why not try and be a little more tolerant yourself and seek to understand and help rather than sit up there in your superior position and criticise!!!

You know it wasn't always like that! It used to be a great place to read questions, ask some and everyone was really friendly. I think it's gone down because you never saw much sarcasm on here but now ... It's pretty bad. Some may view it as a contest but it shouldn't be! It should be a place where we can all be friendly and share something we know or know that the people answering do so because they have good answers, not insults!

I agree with Advice Mom and would like to reiterate a little further.
Many times a person may feel inadequate in themselves and want to justify it by masking it altogether. These insecurities began to show and usually what comes out are judgments of doom on others to cover up their own shortcomings.
Human character traits and flaws are reflected from what's within a person's heart. No matter how he or she tries to cover it up..."out of the abundance of the heart the mouth shall speak."
Peace,
Hope

both, we are generally always in competition with each other in society, and particularly on yahoo answers with the level and 'best answers' systems.
puttting others down or being judgemental makes us feel a little better about ourselves thus adding to the belief that we are already better than other people, which is an important underlying belief driving competitive behaviours.
So the cycle continues

It's sad really how many dumbasses are on here. I'd like to come here for real advice and some fun questions too. I'm almost afraid to ask some questions because I know some idiot would ruin it.

superiority complex, By criticizing other people we prove that we are better than them, therefor our life has purpose, to lead the way for the "lesser" beings

Everyone finds a way to be judgemental these days in any and everything we do.
Its so annoying

People just have to think that they are better than anyone else and that is just the way the world is today. It is very sad that people think this way but they do.
