A fantastic, difficult, seemingly impossible goal: find a cure for a retroviral infection, or invent something medical that will help somebody to alleviate their suffering in some way. If successful, it would be like being the first person on Mars - incredible. Retroviruses are RNA (instead of DNA) viruses, including HIV, and the Human T-cell leukemia virus or "HTLV"- my primary focus. If you concentrate on the long term goal, all the little annoyances of life are just that - merely annoyances. I'm on page 132 in "Fundamental Immunology" by William E. Paul, M.D., et al, and am studying independently. Not a bad hobby for blues-rock guitarist!

Oh! I never saw the sign that said "bridge out ahead", and I'm not a good swimmer.

My bridge is my soulmate that I have been with for 14 years. She is my strength, my pillar and my love. She is always there and she is the one constant in my life.

Nothing else works near as well.

My husband. My troubled waters are my many health issues, including having kidney failure. And my husband has always been there for me through it all.
