It may. Try the amino acid Taruine. It can help modulate nerve impules and calm the nervous system. Another good natural supplement that might be helpful is Theanine, which is an extract of green tea. Both of these products can be found in better health food stores. You can use them both together, if you want, but it is best to try one and see how it works. Both are harmless and have no side effects provided you take them as directed. Stay away from caffeine and aspartame. Caffeine can increase anxiety, and apartame is an excitotoxin - a chemical that 'exictes' certain nerves. Try www.iherb.com for the products listed above. Try to avoid prescription meds if you can because they usually have undesirable side effects such as weight gain and lethargy (felling tired, with no energy).

Magnesium will boost your energy, but it probably wouldn't directly help with anxiety.
Anxiety disorders cannot be prevented; however, there are some things you can do to control or lessen symptoms:
*Stop or reduce your consumption of products that contain caffeine, such as coffee, tea, cola and chocolate.
*Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any over-the-counter medicines or herbal remedies. Many contain chemicals that can increase anxiety symptoms.
*Seek counseling and support after a traumatic or disturbing experience.
Good luck!

I prefer Calcium-Magnesium-Zinc pills taken 3 times a day. Also
useful are: Gamma aminobenzoic acid (GABA); Kava, St John;s wort, and Valerian. A potent multivitamin-mineral pill may also help. B50 complex is good. Chamomile tea is helpful, as is the scent of lavender oil.
