I love your question, and how you put down the great bands and say they suck. I wonder where all these emo/pop/punk bands you mentioned will be in 30 years, or even 5 years, when this emo fad wears out it's welcome. More importantly, where will you be? Following the next big trend I presume. Next time, ask about something you know. Metal/rock/hardcore will always be around, you mention it like it just came about a month ago. Have a most splendid day, please don't get depressed about my comments.

How about Jimmy and Tommy Dorsey, Fats Waller, Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holliday.... That was music.

Yes and if you know of any please let us all know. The music that is out now is just a short term solution to an ongoing problem. One hit wonders who sample music of the past, they have no originality, and all sound like the bands that came out a week before they did!!!
Where are the:
Frank Sinatra's
Ella Fitzgerald's
Jimi Hendrick's
Jim Morrison's
Luther Vandross'
(....and yes I understand these people are deceased, but they took a lot of great music to the after life and we are stuck here with this CRAP!!!!)

Honestly how young are you? Like 10? How can you say you like any of those pop bands and not like Led Zeppelin? I'm sorry, I'm usually not this rude. But you are a freakn moron who needs to take History of Rock 101. Come back and talk to me when you're about 10 years older.

Metal is the core of the world! I'm sorry you've been brainwashed by society to only categorize your music as "good music". Everyone has their own personal preference! I like several of those bands you like, but I would rather listen to AC/DC, Pantera, NIN, Korn, Seether, Godsmack, Metallica etc.....
Don't be mad, you'll grow up and graduate from H.S. and realize what you've been missing!

It's really just you- the world ISN'T coming to an end. All of those bands you listed are doing great and, really, all you can do is help promote them.
They're all amazing and more people listen to them than you know. Good choices by the way.

Everybody choose the music which reflects their personality. What can we do if people like bands like AFI? Nothing!
Personally I've grown up with Michael Jackson's music and I still love him. That's what I call MUSIC. I also love Bee Gees, Queen...LEGENDS.

nope, noone likes good music anymore. but before you knock all those bands and talk about all the "good" bands, you should probably consider that alot of those "good" bands grew up listening to the ones you call noise pollution, so all that "good" music got it's roots from the ones you don't like, besides who are you to say that those musical legends/icons suck?
