When you live in a land for over a thousand years, and then all the sudden another group of people come into the area claiming it's their homeland after being gone for over a thousand years, and they have every right to be there because 19th century British Zionists said so, I think you'll have a much better idea of this affair from a Palestinian's eyes. As soon as the people of Isreal moved in, they forced Palestinians out of their homes in major cites to make space for Jewish neighborhoods.

Basically the crimes against the Palestinians were almost horrificly similar to the infamous "Cherokee Trail of Tears" in the USA. So what's left? A group of people who fight against tanks, planes, and armed soldiers with rocks and sticks.

Isreal threw the first punch at the lesser fortunate Palestinians decades ago. Palestine backed down to Isreal at first, but you can only back someone up to a cliff so far before they fight back.

As a result of the crimes Isreal has commited against Palestine, I'm ebarrassed The United States gives Isreal it's backing. Economically, we gain little to nothing from them. Politically, our involvement with them has hurt us on a global scale. Militarily they do as they like to the Palestinians, even when we ask them not to (case in point: During the US operation in Afganistan, Sharon was asked to not move any miliatry on Arifat... guess what Sharon did, and the US did nothing after to give them so much as a slap on the wrist)

I don't think terrorism is the way to fight things. Neither is removing people from a 1000+ year homeland that the people of Isreal had abandoned over a thousand years ago, just because they want it back. Isreal has made it's bed and it's about time they lie in it, and the United States should walk away finally and leave them to reap what the sow for a change.

From the tone of your question it seems to me that you are only seeing one side of the story!. Its easy to forget that there is always two sides to every story.

Israel is a bully wanting everything its own way disregarding everyone else. The recent conflict in Lebanon was supposed to be about getting 3 captured soldiers back!. In the end it turned out to be about trying to smash Hezbollah, - with ordinary Lebanese paying the price for Israeli aggression with their lives.. How many Lebanese where killed 1200+ against 50 something Israelis..

Its true Palestinians do see Israel has the aggressor,- remember the conflict has been going on a very long time.. Have you heard of the Gaza enclave? and the dreadful mess brought on by Israel continual attacks ? - Have you heard about the illegal west bank settlements and the so called security wall being built by Israel which will cut right through Palestinian farms and communities, forcing families apart !. and wrecking livelihoods!. Have you heard about the illegal damning and diversion of the Jordan river away from its natural course so it flows through Israel rather than through Palestine? adding huge amounts of fresh water for Israeli farmers to use in agriculture while taking it away from the Palestinians farms who's crops are left to rot in the fields due to lack of water.!.
All this is happening right now! mostly in the name of trying to defeat terrorism!. its no wonder people get mad and want to get even.!

Israeli-Palestinian History for Jackasses 101:

First of all, Israel displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians when Israel was created in 1948. Israel was the instigator of this conflict

Then. it gets even better: Israel began blocking Palestinian roads and destroying Palestinian homes. They continued to oppress and bullshit on the Palestinains long after taking away their country.

Recently, Ariel Sharon started building a wall that not only protected ILLEGAL Israeli settlements but also divided Palestinian communities adding more oppression to the Palestinians.

Of course the Palestinians suicide bomb! I'm not saying what they're doing is right (far from it) but that's what abused people do-they fight back.

It's conservatives like you that support continually giving Israel blank checks which they can leech American hard-earned tax dollars from and use it to continue their racist regime of oppression. It's also conservatives like you that label this part of the "war on terrror" when all this is about is Israel deniying the Palestinians basic human rights.

Oh ho. ah ha . First the Palestinians r not the terrorist even if they killed Israeli soldiers or even civilians why? First cuz they r defending their stolen land they r fighting the thieves , second : cuz the Israelis have weapons even the civilians and the teenagers ( i think their kids do too) unlike the unarmed civilians of Palastine. third they r the head of mass destruction and terror in the whole world they gave orders to their poppy little America to go to wars here and there and they begin it not the Palastinians, so what is the wrong of killing them the evil . r u saying ah ha or whaaaaaaaaaat?

hmm well Israel have broken just about any rule of war in this last little session theyve just had, but hey those defenders of the weak and leaders of the free world (USA) stood by and did nothing could this be because there was no money in it for them like Iraq and Afghanistan or because the Jewish vote at home would see them out of power in the blink of an eye.. But hey they are as bad as each other.. Actually i blame the British we dumped the Isralies ther in the first place

I don't know the correct answer but you have to go back into history to understand who started what. Both sides have broken or ignored treaties over the years and one sides Terrorist is the other sides Hero for standing up to a bully. Again I don't know who is right because it goes back further in history that what I have cared to learn about. But it is a much more complex issue than just what is easily seen on the surface.

Are you generally this dim, or is today just a bad one?

Go to news.google.com. Type in 'Israel Reuters'

Israel hits indiscriminately in its incursions in gaza. They intentionally struck ambulances and media vehicles in Lebanon and continue to do so in Gaza. The palestinians are far from blameless, but to look at the issue with such single mindedness shows you don't have a very good brain.

I agree with CAMP1971 you need to brush up on history. What you are saying is NOT true. You should not believe what you see in our "corporate media" broadcasts. You really need to do some research and you will see all is not what is seems. It is a lovely fantasy to believe that America is still run on the ideals of our forefathers like George Washington. We are very much being controlled and it's amazing to see how many people are truly SHEEP! Your ignorant statement above reflects this....Wake up.

Idiot the Israelis have been kid napping and torturing the Lebanese for over 30 years but their crimes really begin in 1948 with the Holocaust of the Palestine people

sounds like a severe lack of historical knowledge here....

do you think the palenstinians would be doing what they are doing by being unprovoked??????? Taking on a state that is bankrolled and armed by the most powerful nations with small arms and few missiles????? For no reason???

Surely you cannot be serious, look into the history of the conflict you will see something mor elike the bigger picture.
