Cant anyone remember the miners strikes, and miners beaten bloody by police and thugs, for just wanting to work??? Cant anyone remember we used to build the best ships in the world;on the Clyde, and on the Tyne, cant anyone remember the British car manufacturers like Wolseley, Alvis,,Armstrong-Siddely, Jaguar, Riley, Sunbeam, Jowett, Hillman etc., and the British motorcycle industry; Norton, BSA, Francis Barnet, Villiers engines, James, and many others, cant anyone recall the Welsh steel industry, and the finest quality steel in the world, made here, in this country?? Can anyone remember schools where EVERYONE could read and write, and added easily without a calculator. Now your kids are illiterate unless you spend time with them, but if you spend time with them, you cant pay the mortgage, so you have to live on a sink estate ( all cities have them now, not just the biggies like London and Manchester). Can you not remember a time when drugs were not sold to kids outside schools, and on every street corner??....and the police didnt have to be armed??? This was all BEFORE the tories got in LAST TIME; if they get in again, how much damage will they do to whats left of Britain....what happened to the "great"????? Maggie Thatcher and her millionaire friends.....and they are waiting in the wings-- better the devil you know, even if you loathe Slimy Tony, hes the best weve got!!!

The Tories, really, don't like Cameron. Once he was in power, the old evil grey haired guys with their similarily old-fashioned grey haired policies, would push the buttons, and they'd probably sell off the NHS quicker than Labour are doing.

If you didn't like Blair because he was spin-based, you're definitely not going to like Cameron. It's like changing Diet Coke for Extra-Sugar Coca Cola, in that respect.

The labour party is some £30m in debt. They cant look after their own finances let alone UK PLC.

As for Gordon Brown the 'prudent' chancellor, any fool can go on a spending spree with their credit card as he has done with PFI.

It is not a question of wether Cameron can run the country as anyone would be oreferable to the bunch of scotish National Socialists Destroying the English economy and undermining english national identity.

Rather than believe labour hype on the economy. The fact it has taken labour so long to destroy the economy bears testimant to the strong economy they inheritted from the conservatives.

Koosomething cat (sorry I've got your name wrong) I agreed with everything you said until we got to the Mrs Thatcher rant bit. Do you remember why she came to power? Because the Labour government bankrupt the country and let the unions run riot. They were infiltrated by hard line communists and caused absolute chaos.
But to answer the question - No, Cameron is not the man for the job. However, take a look at Nigel Farrage of UKIP - lots of old fashioned British common sense.

Sadly I believe the whole mechanism of government nolonger works. A party doesn't change because of a leader, merely the perception of the party. And all partys work on policys that they think will keep the population happy to stay in power not what is necessarily best for the country.

the process simply doesn't work.

I think you're being harsh on Labour when you say that.

I haven't ever voted for them, but even I have to admit they have done a very good job with the economy since they got into power.

I share your fears about the Torries.

cameron's just a snootty old, slime faced, spoilt eton brat who hasn't got a clue about government other than prancing around on huskies and yapping about showy underwear. Then again gordon brown isn't making my heart race either...years of democracy and this is what we get..
