I am 15 weeks and was prescribed Zofran yesterday. Since I've been taking it, my stomach and lower back kind of cramp, like I'm about to start my period or something and I didn't know if that was normal for the meds or maybe just coincidentally my back/stomach started hurting when I took the meds. Did you have to stay on the medicine for the rest of the pregnancy? Any other side effects?

I have been on zofran in all 3 of my pregnancies and I never cramped. I would think that's a coincidence, but I would still talk to your doctor about it. If you're like me, you're so nauseous that you haven't been hungry. Maybe the zofran is abating the nausea enough that those cramps are really hunger pains. It took me a long time in all of my pregnancies to realize that I was hungry. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me. Good luck.

I didn't take zofran, I took compezine, so I don't know about your cramping. I just wanted to say I took the compezine for about 3 months and then when my prescription ran out I decided to try going without for a week before refilling it. I never had to go back on it. I didn't start taking it until I was about 2 or 3 months pregnant and stopped around 6 months. You might be able to go without it or you might have to stay on it for the whole pregnancy, every pregnancy is different and there's no telling what your hormones will do to you in the coming months.

Yes i was on it but I had no side effects sorry I'm of no help! Maybe try figuring out if something is targeting it. For example I craved cereal and I would have 2-3 bowls and the next day I wouldn't be able 2 hold down even Popsicles. I was in and out the hospital for dehydration from week 9-20 till I in pointed it was the milk that was causing it and turns out my son is allergic to milk (not lactose their both different)

I was on diclectin and it didint work for me. usually those types of pills are a combination of antihistamines and B vitamins.
You cramps could be round ligament pains. I've had them since 6 weeks and i am now 20 weeks.

My sister-in-law was put on this when she was pregnant. She had a little back pain, but that was about it.
If you're cramping, even a little, call your doctor.
Better to be safe than sorry.
