Most of the umps seem to be 45 or older white men who are terribly fat and out of shape.

b/c it is a womans perogative to change their mind, so a called strike could be changed to a ball at any moment

There are female umpires, the same with female players. The problem is that there aren't professional umpires and players. Baseball has always been considered a professional man sport. That doesn't mean however that female can't play or umpire professional baseball. There is no rules on female umpires and players. But even today baseball is considered a man sport. But again, that doesn't mean that they can't umpire professionally. But, like always, there will be controversity.

Actually there are Female umpires in baseball. Why they haven't made it into the big leagues is the question. Men can be just as indecisive as women so it can't be that. Its probably a gender bias thing.

I believe there have been female umpires in the minor leagues. They couldn't be any worse than some of the argumentative, pompous umps they have now. Honestly, some of these guys think the fans are there to see them.

There are no female umpires in the MLB. However, there are 1 maybe 2 female umpires in the Minor Leagues. In the NCAA, high schools, and little leagues, etc. there are many female umpires.

There are female umps. One almost made it to the majors, but the MLB wouldn't let her in. She filed a lawsuit, which was settled outside of court. I think women are allowed to be umps now, but fewer women take sports-related jobs.

lol hmm good question. maybe a female needs to bring this to MLBs attention. i say more power to the ladies i mean the umps now look kinda old too me.

I don't think women are any more indecisive than men are. I have worked with several women and for several women as my manager... I have seen very good women leaders just as I have seen in men.

u need experience and is there any female managers? players? no maybe when theres a female president evrything will change :)
