thats happend to me when i started playing, don't worry its very normal, it only hurts for about a day or two, they hurt because the skin thats pressing down on the strings are still soft, and eventually even thou it hurts, play for awhile(until the pain is unbearable) and them stop, i think i used ice for awhile. don't worry it'll stop hurting, because you skin will eventually hardened, just remember ice!! welcom to the life of a guitar player!!!!

your fingers will hurt for about 3-4 weeks until you build up callases on your fingers. I have been playing for 11 years and I give guitar lessons. no usually your fingers won't hurt after you've been playing for a month or so unless you press to hard on the fret board or you are playing a song or a long time that requires alot of finger movement. If you have any other questions feel free to email me or call my cell phone 571-233-6342

The more you play, the less it'll hurt. It won't take too long to get over the pain part. Nylon strings won't fit your guitar so stick with Light Acoustic strings for now.
I know what you're going through and it 's definitely worth it.

If you are a beginner,it is normal for your fingers to hurt. They will hurt just till you adjust a little bit.Of course, they won't be hurting everytime you play!Just untill you get used to it.It helps to rub your fingers to each other. It just eases the pain.If they hurt a lot, take a break.Do NOT practice for two, three, four hours in the beginning, because that will cause your pain in fingers.Better practice for an half and hour or and hour, but more frequently. That will help your fingers to get used to playing.
Good luck! And welcome to the magical world of playing!

Try using nylon strings. They are much easier on the finger tips. Then as you get use to them, use the brass strings. Hope this helps ! Keep on rock'n. lol

This, That &- is right, also when you go to metal strings you may want to use light gadge and flat wound.
