Is this the last taboo? I don't condone violence against children in any way but I have never seen this in a scary movie and I think the act would be shocking and horrifying. Why hasn't any filmmaker "gone there"?

There was a pan shot of a dead infant in the Titanic. After the ship sunk and the survivors were in the lifeboats searching through the floating corpses, the search light hit a man holding a baby. Both were blue and very dead. If that counts. Its not a horror flick but I do remember it being very disturbing.

Now I can't remember, but was the baby killed in The Hills Have Eyes? I only watched it once b/c it sucked but I do remember a gun pointed at the infant.

I've never really noticed that in any movie except Sleepy Hollow (If you count a 4 year old). Also in that movie, a baby is killed before it's even born. Maybe most filmakers think that it is just sort of wrong and people won't want to see that happen in any movie.

There was in the remake of The Omen 666. It was a very scary movie, and disgusting when they murdered the infant, couldn't even watch it.

Of course it's taboo. Our society can't stand to watch something horrible happening to a child. It's just sickening. We would probably boycott the movie! I think it would be just plain wrong.

Children and animals are not "harmed" in an malicious way--in any movie. Children and animal rights activistis make sure of this and I'm glad they do.

I think its one of those things that could ruin a director's career. Everyone will remember him as the "baby killer", and work would be very hard for him to get later on...

well in dawn of the dead, there is a part where a infant is killed. even though it was born undead. because of that one part, it was taken out of the movie theater version, but is in the unrated dvd

I don't think it's considered horrible. If it were, we wouldn't be slaughtering more than a million babies a year, even in the last trimester.

I guess the zombie baby in the 'Dawn of the Dead' remake doesn't count.

because of the censors, that kind of movie would not get played and if it did not many people would watch it,
