It's up to the parents what they name their child and should not be influenced by anyone. However, I do believe they should take into consideration how this name may affect the child as they are growing up. For instance, I know someone named Richard Pickle and everyone calls him Dick. To me, Dick Pickle is a name just waiting to be ridiculed. It's not his fault, but you know how that goes... especially these days with kids being so mean to one another.

I don't know about unethical, but just imagine someone named you a name like that, it's cute, but this person has to live with the name you have chosen for them. do you really want to have to answer to them one day why it is that you have named them chewbacca?

These ppl are star wars obsessive-compulsive freaks! I think its unethical. Now, if it was a nickname it would be much better. I think Luke, Leia, Anikin, Ben, or maybe Darth is more normal names.

no. The middle name should be something catchy and original though like "mighty wookie of thunder"
so if your last name was Smith the child will be named

Chewbacca Mighty Wookie of Thunder Smith,

um but be prepared for lots of star wars presents.
