For openers, if we're in a lifeboat, apparently the ship we were on sank. If that's the case, and it's just the three of us, I wouldn't know where we were nor how long the food would last. The first instinct would be to share the food sparingly, and make it last as long as possible.

If, on the other hand, you're asking would I sacrifice myself for my wife and child, the answer is yes.

hey , what do you mean by food/water for 2 people? do you know when you are going to be rescued? food / water for 2 people for 3 days is good enough for 3 people for 2 days , right?
Anyway , ration out the food and water. and hope for the best.

Well, first of all i would try to find some other source of food with all my power (fish ect..) If i can't find it, i will give the supply for my wife and child because i can't live knowing that i sacrifice either of them. After that i'll try to stay alive as long as i can, and i'll try to find some help until my last breath.

Well personally I would go without and let my wife and child take what they need. I'm sure my wife would split her rations with me but the most important thing is for them to survive.

Since I'm not married, but have two kids, I'll answer it that way. I'd not eat. I would rather see my kids live over myself any day. There's no question about that.

We would ration all of the supplies so that all three had what was necessary.

The child would get more than the parents eventually.
