Cheerleaders need help please!!........?

Question

Ok cheerleaders im really good at gymnastics stuff but is it tough being a cheerleader cause im not sure how it is cause im wanting to try out to be on the team this year!! Can ya'll help me and tell me what I would have to do to become one??? PLEASE I appreciate any help you can give me!

If you can tumble, most likely you already made the team. Tumbling is such a big part of cheerleading these days that anyone that can is considered and asset. As far as everything else, learn the material you are taught and practice it till you can't get it out of your head. I've judged many try outs and the worst thing to see is someone who is so talented and knows it up until point of try outs, then they bomb and forget everything. If you are a gymnast, then you are already most likely flexible, so practice the jumps, the cheer motions with the words, with a smile, the dance as best as you can and tumbling, you already have that down. You will be nervous, so have the material perfect before you go so you won't catch a blank when you get up there! Good Luck!

its really good that you have tumbling experience, but you also need to know how to stunt, jump, cheer, and dance. In cheering you need to tighten you muscles in everything you do from motions to stunting. I dont know what stunt position you will be but you can either be a back, base, or flyer. Dont worry just go to the tryout practices and they will teach you everything you need to know. You'll probably make the team beacuse of your tumbling skills. Good Luck. I hope this helps.
