it depends. If both people in the friendship are making an effort to fix things, then its not bad, but if one person is trying to keep the friendship and the other is taking them for granted then its really not that healthy, its better to let things go than to let a 'friend' walk all over you.

I would say so. After a couple of times of fixing it and it still goes to the dumps then I would say it's over and not meant to be. I had a friend and things kept going bad, so I finally quit making an effort and we've not seen each other now going on 10 years.

No, this happened to me. If you have to keep fixing things then sooner or later you are gonna get really hurt. Better to slowly drift away and move along. Having to constantly fix things should be a good clue to the future of the friendship...good luck.

Depends on the situation and what it is that needs to be fixed. If this friend is constantly backstabbing you or doing things that are wrong then you don't need a friend like that in your life. The older we get the more we realize who our true friends in life are. It's really up to you. If you feel this friendship is worth fighting for, then stick around, but if you are constantly being hurt by this friend, then it's not worth it. Invest time in people who you know you can count on and will be there for you.

If the friendship continually needs to be fixed and worked on, theres something wrong. BUT if you truely enjoy being with this person and hanging out and you can get past the "fixing" problem-than continue to do it. If you just hang out with this person and fix the friendship-than stop. Take a break-if you miss the person enough, youll figure out how to comprimise.

Yes. How many times must you try to fix something before you realize it just doesnt work?

It depends on the friendship if its worth saving, if its a deep friendship why do you always have problems with each other... There are things that you should just let go if you know deep inside that its over.

That is strictly a question that only you can answer! The value you place on this friendship, should tell you if you should keep "fixing" it or let it die a peaceful death.

Its not bad per se but ask yourself what the friendship is achieving - if the result is this person makes you feel bad/resentful/ damm gets on yr nerves then its time to end it and move on.
