I spent a long time living in the North East of Scotland, I found that people on hearing me speak were immediately hostile in the vast majority of cases. To the extent of even being spat on, on one occasion. Admittedly this was avery Nationalist area of Scotland and I sound extremely English! However, once I knew some people, the attitude completely changed, I found the people friendly and outgoing, invariably generous. I think that there has been antagonism between our countries for so long that the hostility is almost instinctual. It's only when people take the time and effort to get to know each other that these stereotypes can be broken down. I enjoyed my time in Scotland and I'm glad the English took the time a few centuries back to conquer it! (sorry Scotland just kidding!)

I'm a southerner who lives in Birmingham (not for much longer thank god!) and I personally think that there are no such thing as sterotypical people, but because the area is quite rough (where I live anyway) the people tend to be too.
I have found the blokes to be quite stingy though......

i personally have no issues with anyone no matter what their race, colour or creed. Everyone in the world is unique and should be respected for it. The world would be a very boring place to live in if everyone shared the same views about everything.

I have no qualms with any of the people in our country, we are all fantastic and were what makes Britain 'Great' and always will be.

You find the further North you go the tighter they are....come home to the South and live again.

there's good and bad in all races and religions. i only don't like people who stink, even if they're nice
